Crockpot cooking isn’t cooking. I’M SORRY, IT NEEDS TO BE SAID. It’s food dumping. If you live in a studio apartment and don’t have the room for an electric pot basically or, like, have taste, and don’t happen to be in possession of a crockpot, it’s basically an electric pot that let’s you cook a meal while you’re not home. One thing about crockpot food: it’s all pretty terrible.

Like, it doesn’t brown onions or sear meat. It’s basically like just leaving your raw ingredients out in the sun on a really hot day and eating that dish. Basically, it’s sun tea, but with food. It’s just NOT the vibe, imo. And yet, y’all fucking love crock pots. What’s it like when you’ve given up? When you feel a momentary flash of the will to live, please let me know in the comments.

But, because y’all love a crockpot meal, here I am, fucking PANDERING for page views. I’m nearly certain that I could make this dish much better by cooking it on the stove, noodles in one pot, sauce in another, but here we are: you having given up and me…also having given up on creating proper home cook cuisine.

That said, as much as I shit on the CROCKpot (it’s a crock that it’s called cooking, you know?), I am determined to make a few recipes for you that don’t taste like crockpot. IYKYK.

This pizza pasta is one of those recipes. And really, what’s not to like? It’s endlessly versatile - just use whatever pizza toppings you and your family love. It can be gluten free or not - I used gluten free noodles in my version, but you can use any noodles you like. Plus it’s simple enough, I can imagine kids and any picky eaters in your life would enjoy it. And really, isn’t the crockpot really designed to feed those people anyway?
